This barn is a good example of the ubiquitous Pennsylvania Fore Bay barn.
Bank was eroding and wall was being pushed into the barn
Extra posts had been added a few years ago
In general the forebay part is in good condition
Water had found its way in
Softening up wood for infestation of wood boring insects
Sills and joist ends suffered
Encapsulating joists helped for a while
Best solution is new sills...
With new joists dovetailed into them
